2027 All Spring and Summer First Team

The rising sophomore Class of 2027 is just now starting to get noticed.  These five made their presence felt, often against older and more experienced opponents, this past spring and summer.

Martay Barnes, Southeast Elite 16U: The 6’2 rising sophomore out of Holy Trinity Episcopal in Melbourne already has two years of varsity experience under his belt.  Playing up a level with SE Elite 16U, Barnes is starting to gain a national reputation.  His athleticism is high level, he has good shot creation, shot making, and passing skills, and plays with a high motor at both ends of the floor.

Aaron Britt, Nightrydas Elite 15U: The 6’0 guard from The Villages had some impressive numbers in the 15U division of Nike’s EYBL.  He averaged fifteen points a game, was #4 in assists with 4.1 per contest, and was #3 in steals at 2.3 a game.  Britt is a guard that continuously pushes the pace, attacks the basket at every opportunity, and has very active hands and feet on defense.

Cayden Daughtry, Florida Rebels 15U: The 6’0 rising sophomore from Calvary Christian in Fort Lauderdale continues to defy those who doubt him because of his supposed athletic shortcomings.  Daughtry was the EYBL 15U’s third leading scorer at 19.8 ppg, handed out 3.1 assists per contest and was #5 in steals per contest at 2.1.  He is a very confident scorer and was considered one of the top underclassmen at the Section 7 team camp in Arizona in June.  National scouts noted that he is already an extension of the coach on the floor and his game is defined by skill and not physical gifts.

Myles Fuentes, AllBall 17U: The 6’0 guard out of Miami Riviera Prep performed well at the 17U level all spring and summer.  That should be no surprise as he has been a varsity starter since eighth grade on two-time state champion Riviera Prep and a member of Puerto Rico’s 16U FIBA National Team.  National scouts like the way he makes the right decisions under duress and composure against bigger, more physical opponents.

Jeremy Jenkins, Florida Rebels 15U: The 6’8 forward from Riviera Prep was solid during the EYBL springs sessions, averaging just under 12 points a game.  That average went to 14 points a game during the Peach Jam.  National scouts noted his strength, skill, feel for the game, and footwork in the post.
