JR/SR Sunday Standouts at the Spring Player Showcase

This weekend brought the Hoop Exchange NextGen Spring Player Showcase to the campus of Southeastern Prep Academy in Maitland just outside of Orlando.  There were two sessions each day: morning for the Classes of 2027 & 2028 and afternoons for the Classes of 2025 & 2026.  Here are some of the afternoon Sunday Standouts.

Dallas Lambert, Port Charlotte: The 6’3 junior is super-athletic and played like he was shot out of a canon on Sunday.  He was fast up and down the court, finished over the rim, rebounded the ball and was quick to push it up the floor.  The lefty made more than a few threes, which is something we hadn’t seen from him before.

Josh Theus, Orlando Christian Prep: The 6’2 junior was subtle but effective.  He made good decisions in transition, got the ball inside and to open shooters on the perimeter and made perimeter shots on both sides of the arc.

Tatiano Muambu, Orlando West Oaks Academy: The 6’8 junior makes up for any lack of skill by being active on the glass at both ends of the floor.  He is an imposing post presence on defense and is quick to change ends in transition.  He got a lot of opportunity baskets (put backs, lobs, etc.) on Sunday.

Cameron Knox, Seffner Christian: The 6’1 junior didn’t over-complicate things; he just did what needed to be done.  He shot the ball well from the perimeter, didn’t over dribble, and snuck in for rebounds and putbacks.

Alexander Davis, Palm Coast Matanzas: The 6’9 junior has upgraded his body, becoming stronger and more athletic.  This has improved his confidence on the court, especially on the offensive end.  He showed strong post moves, the ability to rebound out of his area, and get up and down the court swiftly in transition.

Joseph Hartman, Gainesville The Rock School: The 6’5 junior has a nice, all-around floor game.  He shoots the ball well, makes good decisions on the move, and isn’t afraid to get physical in pursuit of rebounds at either end of the floor.  Hartman is an alert and active defender.

Terrance Shannon, Orlando Southeastern Prep: The 6’0 junior is a speedy point guard the puts a lot of pressure on a defense with his ability to penetrate and make plays for himself and his teammates. He is a crafty finisher at the basket and respectable perimeter shooter.

Terrell James, Oviedo: The 6’1 junior shot the ball well from the perimeter Sunday afternoon.  He had a few strong finishes on drives and in transition.  James proved to be an alert passer, quickly getting the ball to open teammates on the perimeter or cutting to the basket.

Jahmarian Forrester, Clearwater Balboa School: The 6’9 senior displayed a very impressive skill set for his size as he proved to be more than capable of playing the “2” or “3” out on the wing.  He consistently made shots on both sides of the arc and made good pass vs shot decisions with the ball when driving to the basket.

Chris Kitenge, Daytona DME: The 6’5 junior is a strong wing that makes open perimeter shots.  However, he may be at his best when using his strength to drive to the basket and score in traffic.  He rebounds the ball well at both ends and is fast up the court in transition.

Oneal Delancy, St. Petersburg Gibbs: The 6’4 sophomore played up and stood out.  Delancy is an excellent scorer from all three levels.  He is very skilled and made many contested jump shots off the dribble on both sides of the arc.  Delancy doesn’t get enough credit for his ability to pass the ball.

Angelo Moton, Leesburg: The 6’6 junior is a strong wing that did most of his damage near the basket and in transition.  He scores well on drives and jumpers inside the arc.  Moton rebounds well against bigger players.

Tyson Young, Jacksonville Eagle’s View: The 6’9 junior still has some skill work to do but his size, athleticism, and energy make him a prospect to track.  He cleans up the glass, runs the floor, and challenges shots around the basket.

Dylan Foster, Orlando Edgewater: The 6’3 junior is athletic and has a scorer’s mentality.  He is quick and very physical with the ball in his hands.  Foster shot the ball well from the perimeter, was quick to push the pace, and was alert for wayward passes into his area.

Brandon Brazell, Stuart Martin County: The 6’6 junior showed a lot of offensive diversity on Sunday.  He slashed to the basket for scores, hit some catch-and-shoot threes, got some stickbacks and scored in transition.  He’s a lengthy athlete that has the ability to be a versatile defender.

Landon Colyer, Atlanta Overtime Elite: The 6’6 junior has very deep range on his shot.  He will get to the rim and score if overplayed for the perimeter shot.  He is more athletic than he first appears and has no issue finishing over the rim.

Seydina Ndiaye, Daytona DME: The 6’10 junior is a long athlete that moves well on the court.  He protects the paint, rebounds out of his area and shows an ability to put the ball on the floor and score after one or two dribbles.

Isaiah Pina, Groveland South Lake: The 6’6 junior is a strong-bodied wing that is a highlight reel in transition.  He finishes with force, not finesse.  He can rebound the ball and push it up the floor on his own in transition.  In the half-court he scores on short drives and jumpers.

Patrick Olajuwon, Orlando Downey Christian: The 6’7 senior is a strong and active wing that finds ways to get to the basket.  He is lethal in transition, finishes above the rim, and seeks contact, resulting in many three-point play opportunities.  He rebounds at both ends of the floor, covers a lot of ground quickly on defense, and continues to improve his perimeter skills.

Rhiaughn Ferguson, Orlando Downey Christian: We were only able to see the 6’8 senior during the four-on-four skills session but were intrigued with what we saw.  He has a strong frame, runs the floor, rebounds in a crowd and is tough to keep from the basket with the ball in his hands.
