2025 SPRING & SUMMER AWARDS – PLAYERS TO WATCH

This is the category in which we highlight players that we either did not get a chance to see perform or played better than/less than expected and want to know if what we saw was real or a one-time thing.

17U: DeAndre Harvey, Tre Mann Elite – The 6’3 Harvey played very well for Williston this past high school season and we were excited to some him join a high-profile team to get a chance to see what he could do against high-caliber competition.  Alas, he didn’t play in the Travel Team Jamboree in March and we did not come across his name in our daily review of national sites.  Harvey did appear in a review of players at The Elite 32 in Atlanta the last live period of July.  The article praised Harvey’s ability to get to the basket and finish in traffic.  He is slated to transfer to The Rock School in Gainesville which will certainly be a huge step up from Rural Classification competition.  It will be interesting to see how he adapts his game to playing with and against equally talented players.

16U: Henry Robinson, Tre Mann Elite – The 6’6 Robinson was listed on the Tre Mann Elite 16U roster at the Travel Team Jamboree but didn’t play and we didn’t see his name in any of the event reviews we read over the spring and summer.  Robinson missed a good chunk of his sophomore year to a shoulder injury but did return in time to help his Deltona Pine Ridge team to a playoff run.  When healthy and engaged, Robinson may be as talented as any player in the state’s 2027 Class.  A high-level athlete with good skills, he can play and defend multiple positions, manufacturing scoring opportunities for himself and teammates.

15U: Kaden Torres, MBJ Elite – The 6’0 guard out of Deltona Pine Ridge put up solid stats on the 15U level of Adidas’ Three Stripes Select Basketball circuit.  He led the team with just over fifteen points a contest and box scores show he hit at a 60+% clip overall and 50%+ from behind the arc.  The one event that we did get a chance to see MBJ Elite paly, Torres wasn’t available so we are hoping that sometime this fall he will emerge at an individual event or Pine Ridge will take part in a pre-season camp.
