Hoop Exchange Fall Festival - Day Two

By Rick Staudt, 10/08/17, 6:00AM CDT

Saturday was a full, non-stop day of basketball at the Hoop Exchange Fall Festival.  Two brackets in the Team Showcase finished up, two more brackets cranked up, and Saturday’s individual portion of the event was loaded with talent.  Below is just a taste of what went down.

ACC Bracket

Gainesville The Rock School over Fort Lauderdale HS

Hollywood Chaminade over Winter Garden West Orange

Kissimmee Osceola over Clermont Lake Minneola

Miami Palmetto over Montverde Post-Grade (championship game)

PAC 12 Bracket

Bradenton Victory Rock over NTSI

Coral Springs HS over Tampa Bay Tech

Jacksonville Impact Christian Academy over Deerfield HS

NTSI over Tampa Bay Tech

Coral Springs HS over Bradenton Victory Rock

Montverde Academy over North Florida Educational Institute (championship game)

BIG TEN Bracket

Apopka HS over Jacksonville Bolles School

Orlando Jones over Ocala Vanguard

St. Johns Creekside over Orlando Edgewater

Hialeah Mater Lakes over Montverde Post-Grad

SEC Bracket

Orlando West Oaks over St. Pete HS

Montverde Academy over Oakland Park Northeast

Oldsmar Christian over Pompano Beach Blanche Ely

Orlando Christian Prep over Riviera Beach Suncoast

In the Individual Exposure Showcase, a lot of players stepped up their game, maybe none moreso than 6’5 senior Jimmy Beane of Jacksonville Potter’s House Academy.  The muscular guard has developed into quite the jump shooter.  He dropped thirty points playing half of a running clock game, predominantly on threes and mid-range jumpers off the dribble.

We’ll have more in-depth coverage over the course of the week on the event that is turning out to be one of the best Fall Festivals in recent memory.
