NBPA Top 100 Camp

Posted on: June 5th, 2012, by Rick Staudt

Here are the players from Florida slated to attend the 2012 NBPA Top 100 Camp, arguably the top individual camp in the country due to its lack of affiliation with well-known grassroots sponsors such as Adidas, Nike, and Under Armor.

Solomon Poole

Hudson Price

D’Angelo Russell

And that’s it.

No Kasey Hill.  No Chris Walker.  No Malik Price-Martin. No Rashawn Powell.  No Dakari Johnson.  No Joel Berry.

Really?!!?

Now maybe the above players got an invitation and declined but I can’t imagine they would.

Poole and Russell deserve it.  Price is a nice player but you would be hard-pressed to find someone outside of his family and friends that believe he deserves this honor.

This is why so many of us in the state believe we get a raw deal when it comes to national recognition.

There is NO WAY that the NBPA Top 100 Camp can take itself seriously without having at least three of the five players mentioned above.

Maybe it should be called the NBA Farce 100 Camp instead.
