Moore Can Score
Boca Ciega High School in St. Petersburg, Florida is home to one of the best pure scorers in the state of Florida, Dallas Moore. We’ve had a chance to see Moore on a few occasions this spring in our own Spring Exposure Series camp and our Travel Team Jamboree. Dallas is a 6’0 combo guard that has three point range out to the NBA line and has a toughness about him you don’t see very often anymore.
Dallas Moore averaged 26 points per game this year leading Pinellas County in scoring. Although Boca, coached by Randy Shuman, only finished with a 15-13 record look for them to have a big year next year as they have a ton of young talent. Moore also plays for the nationally touted Florida Rams travel program under Head Coach Jeff Simmons and Director Matt Ramker. “Dallas is arguably the #1 shooter in Florida and is evolving into a better player off the dribble which allows him to make more plays,” said Ramker. “We expect a big spring and summer from him,” he added.
When asked which team and player he is most excited to play this summer his response was, “Whoever our next opponent is. I match up with whoever each night and just come to play. Anyone will get my best shot every night.” Improvement is important in every players career and when it comes to Dallas he believes that he needs to become more of a point guard and being more vocal on the court. He also feels he needs to get in the weight room and add some weight.
At this point in time Moore has offers from FAU and JU but he has reported that Stanford, UCF, USF, UNF, Mercer, William and Mary, College of Charleston, App State, Boston University, Stetson, and Charleston Southern is in hot pursuit of his services.
